Q: Can non members in GAFTA come to arbitration ?

Ans: Yes. You are not required to be a member of the Association in order to commence arbitration. The parties must however have contracted into Arbitration Rules 125 or 126 so that in the event of a dispute, the matter is referred to Gafta.

There is a charge of £1,700 for all non-member parties on issuance of each Gafta award.
